This informative and entertaining talk details everything you wanted to know  about working as a wildlife presenter... but were afraid to ask!

Mike’s life-long passion for nature has given him an encyclopaedic knowledge of British and tropical flora and fauna and, as a hugely successful TV presenter, he has become a regular face on BBC1’s The One Show.

He is committed to introducing the wonders of the natural world to a broader audience, and does so with enthusiasm, experience and insight. With degrees in both ecology and botany Mike is author and co-author of numerous books, as well as being a highly respected journalist.

As a keen traveller and accomplished linguist Mike also ‘Tour-Leads’ for a number of wildlife holiday companies throughout the world. This talk, inspired in part by his travels, promises to be both hilarious and illuminating; his thoughts on how the media can influence human engagement with wildlife will be equally thought-provoking.
