Simon King

Nature Watch - an illustrated talk for the family

Simon King has always been passionate about wildlife, and his career as a photographer, presenter and nature expert spans some 30 years. His work in the field has made him increasingly determined to turn the tide against the loss of natural habitats and begin a movement to reclaim more land for the natural world.

He has put this into practice on his own plot here in Somerset, and his Nature Watch talk, richly illustrated by photographs and films, will show how you too can learn to bridge the gap between the wild world and your own.  Simon shares his unique, first hand knowledge on animal tracks and signs, mimicry and observation skills, peppered with stories of wild encounters from the UK and beyond. He might even explain why his childhood ambition was to become an elephant…
