James Kealey - Organ Recital

Tuesday 11 July, 12 noon, St Mary’s Church BS28 4AA

In his role as Senior Organ Scholar/Second Assistant Organist, James regularly accompanies the Wells Cathedral Choirs in their daily worship. Alongside his work as an organist, James has special provision for the training of the Probationer Choristers and managing the vast music library.

Before his move to the south west, James was Senior Organ Scholar at Royal Holloway, University of London, where he played over 150 concerts with the choir, including six tours, a CD and two live broadcasts on BBC Radio 3. Previously James was Organ Scholar at Blackburn Cathedral.

He is becoming increasingly sought after as a recitalist, having performed all around the UK and Europe and, more recently, has completed a recital tour to New York and Boston. His Festival programme will include works by Bach, Walton, Gary Davison and more and we're looking forward to seeing and hearing his music in the atmospheric St. Mary's Church.
